During the last 20 years, Cartier has developed and launched an extensive range of high-end men’s watches. From 1998 till 2008 we’ve seen their ‘Collection Privée, Cartier Paris’, (CPCP) followed by the ‘Fine Watch Making Collection’ (FWM) that ran from 2008 till 2018. Both series came silently to an end and left many collectors with the question: why? We often receive questions about these series, at Quill & Pad and we think it’s now the right time to explain the differences, why these two lines were ended and what may be next.
