Just a year ago when Cartier launched the first three models of their new ‘Drive de Cartier’ line, it was quite a spectacle, since the watches, with their typical shape and domed crystals, were something Cartier had not done earlier. Never before the La Maison launched a new time piece that was, from a advertising and design point of view, so targeted to men, as the ‘Drive de Cartier’ range. The reactions were in general overwhelming, and the watch was picked up pretty soon, after it became available, especially the ‘time only’ model.
This year at the SIHH in Geneva, two more models are added to the ‘Drive de Cartier’ collection and they probably appeal to a part of the Cartier clientele, on which the previous three models might have been lost: that of the typical Cartier Connesieur.
