Background and branches made out of the artificial material crylate-copolymer, by f.i. 'Flevopol' or 'Sika', are one of the latest vivarium devellopments. Technically it's not that hard to realize but realistic result depends very much on creativity.

To create a background it's best to work on an a thin piece of arylic, slightly smaller than the backwindow of the vivarium. In case something goes wrong, all that sticky material don't need to be removed from the vivarium again and when it's completely dry and finished, ithe whole background can be put into the vivarium very easily. The acrylic surface needs to be scratched up a little, for better adhesivity. Add a thin layer of Flevopol (diluted 1:1 with water) and let it dry a bit. When a rough background with holes to sleep in and islands to sit on, is where you're after, it can be created with purfoam.
(make sure to get the poisonfree version) Add the foam and mold it into the desired shapes with your fingers.(use plastic gloves) and fine tuned with a sharp Stanley knife. Then the real mix should be made. The best is to mix one part of Flevopol with two parts of water and grinded fernroot (or potting soil)

Add thin layers over your newley created background, until you're satisfied. Let the whole thing dry very well. Since it's on a piece of acryl, it can easily be put outside in the wind, for a week or so.

When it's completely dry, wash it out and check if no milky water is coming out. If that's the case it means that it was not dry.

When the background is used for a new vivarium,
do give it a month or two, before adding any frogs.
