Backgrounds made out of fernroot are a long lasting solution. It's a natural product right out of the rainforests. In the past the material was imported from South America and was wideley available. Today most of it comes from Australia and New Zealand and in many countries it's still an illegal product. And that's exactly the reason why it is so hard to get and why we actually should'nt use it for our vivariums.
